Porównanie międzynarodowych oznaczeń stali
W normach PN-EN stosowane są dwa systemy oznaczania stali:
- system literowo-cyfrowy (PN-EN 10027-1)
- system cyfrowy (PN-EN 10027-2)
Każdy gatunek stali ma nadany znak i numer, który jednoznacznie identyfikuje tylko jeden materiał.
W przypadku systemu literowo cyfrowego symbole literowe są odpowiednio dobrane tak, że wskazują na główne cechy stali np. zastosowanie, własności mechaniczne, skład chemiczny. Umożliwia to identyfikacje poszczególnych gatunków stali.
W przypadku oznaczania stali w systemie cyfrowym każdy gatunek stali ma nadany numer składający się z pięciu cyfr, który można stosować zamiast znaku stali. Numer gatunku stali nadaje Europejskie Biuro Rejestracyjne.
Pierwsza cyfra w numerze ?1" oznacza, że jest to stal, dwie następne oznaczają grupę stali, a dwie końcowe wyróżniają konkretny gatunek w grupie.
Grupy stali - ustalono według składu chemicznego, własności mechanicznych, fizycznych i technologicznych oraz według zastosowania np.:
- stale niestopowe jakościowe: mają numery grup 01 do 07 i 91 do 97;
- stale niestopowe specjalne: 10 do 18;
- stale stopowe odporne na korozję i żaroodporne: 40 do 49;
- stale stopowe konstrukcyjne, maszynowe i na zbiorniki ciśnieniowe:50 do 89.
