Mounting collets in screw-on caps:
Mounting the collet in the cap |
Properly mounted collet | Unmounting of the collet |
For proper mounting of ER collet follow these steps:
- Put the collet into the cap at slight angle
- Hook the groove of the collet on eccentric or cylindrical edge of the collet (fig. A)
- Jam the collet into the cap (fig. B)
- Screw the cap with collet on the toolholder, so that mounting of the machined tool is possible

Working principle:
Device TBK use with the follow elements:
- Montage screws, which mount the device on the table, quantity of screws have to according to quantity holes on base plate device TBK ( in this example are four screws M6),
- Mounting set with cone on dimension according to socket device (in this example mounting set with cone DIN 30),
- Mill or other tool which we want mount,
- Collet clamp (in this example ER),
- Nut clamp on mounting set,
- Tension wrench with fit liner to nut clamp,
- The first thing, which have to do is montage device TBK on the table by screws.
- Next thing to do is mount mounting set in device.
- Next thing is introduction screw collet with mounting set by hand.
- Next we have to put in assy tool.
- On the aim assurance of correct montage we have to screw down nut clamp by tension wrench with tension fit to size of collet and nut. During screw down mounting set on device, will be not move, because device have a clutch, which provide a move of mounting set.
- Disassembly we do on reverse sequence. We start by screw out nut by tension wrench.
